Home / Hire A Private Chef In La Rochelle
Most people who hire a private chef in La Rochelle are doing it for the first time - and the first question is nearly always the same: how does it actually work? The honest answer: it's far simpler than booking a restaurant for twelve.
You tell me about your meal, I send a menu and a fixed quote, and on the day I handle everything from shopping to washing up. This page walks you through exactly what to expect.

La Rochelle's restaurant scene is excellent - and busy. In summer the tables on rue Saint-Jean-du-Pérot book out days ahead, big groups are hard to seat, and somebody always has to drive home afterwards.
Hiring a chef flips the evening: dinner comes to your rental or your home, the wine is whatever you like at shop prices, the children can go to bed mid-dessert, and nobody calls a taxi.
The first thing almost everyone asks us when hiring a chef for the first time is 'what do we need to provide?' - and the answer is nothing but the table.
From first message to first course, here's the whole process.

Date, guest numbers, tastes, budget and any diets. A two-minute enquiry form or a phone call - whichever you prefer.

Within 48 hours you get a written menu proposal and a fixed all-in quote. I adjust it until you love it.

I arrive ahead of time, cook, serve and clean up. You do precisely nothing except pour the wine.
Your quote covers everything: my time, all ingredients bought fresh that morning, service at the table and a spotless kitchen afterwards. No hidden extras, no awkward surprises on the night.
Optional additions include a waiter for larger tables, a sommelier-style wine pairing from regional producers, and table styling with fresh flowers.
Every booking is bespoke. I write each menu around your tastes, your guest numbers and whatever is best at the market that week - tell me what you have in mind and I'll send you a price.
Everything: menu design, that morning's shopping, all the cooking at your property, table service and full clean-up. The quote you approve is the price you pay.
Within 48 hours of your enquiry, usually sooner. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible - just ask.
Just the table, the crockery and glasses (I can bring those too if needed - say so in your enquiry). I bring the ingredients, knives and specialist equipment.
Tell me during the enquiry and I'll build the menu around it from the start. I take allergies seriously - separate prep, no cross-contact.
From €25 per person. Every package is bespoke - enquire for a fixed quote.
